Après avoir expérimenté divers terminaux, jonglé entre ZSH et Fish sur plusieurs ordinateurs, testé Oh My Posh puis Starship comme « décorateur » de prompt, me voilà je crois désormais bien satisfait de ma configuration actuelle.
Ainsi, j’ai fini par définitivement opter pour Alacritty comme terminal, préférant à des solutions plus riches en fonctionnalités mais aussi plus « lourdes » à l’usage sa simplicité et sa réactivité, ce que les développeur⋅euses résument très bien ainsi sur le Github du projet :

Et je me suis alors lancé à la recherche d’un multiplexeur de terminal, m’étant lassé si l’on peut dire de tmux que j’ai utilisé durant de longues années ; et c’est ainsi que j’ai découvert Zellij qui m’a véritablement séduit par sa simplicité (dans sa gestion des onglets et des panneaux), par la possibilité de faire flotter un panneau, par l’affichage permanent des raccourcis...
Pour ce qui est du shell, je suis revenu finalement à ZSH, délaissant Oh My Posh ou Starship pour retourner au premier thème que j’avais utilisé lors de ma découverte de ZSH, Powerlevel10k, celui-ci gérant beaucoup mieux les gros dépôts GIT.
